The Mimosa Restaurant Story
Karibu! A warm welcome from the Mimosa team.
Our family run restaurant was established in 2015 and aims to provide a sanctuary for culinary delights, relaxation and rejuvenation. Our collective passion for authentic and memorable dining experiences is what makes Mimosa Moshi a success.
We source most of our ingredients locally, thereby supporting farmers and suppliers in our community and lessening our carbon footprint!
The Mimosa team does their best every day to prepare delicious meals using only the freshest ingredients. This means when provisions are out of season or not available, we may not be able to offer you your first choice BUT we invite you to try something else – we may just surprise you, pleasantly of course!
We hope you will enjoy our variety of Tanzanian, Western and Eastern dishes with a good selection of Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian fare. Try out our coffee too, our baristas are among the best around.
What Our Customers Have to Say
Mimosa is a fabulous place to visit if it is your first time to Tanzania and want to delay culture shock for as long as possible. Beautiful atmosphere and easy to navigate for English speaking tourists. The food was excellent (the best burger I have had in Tanzania) and the cappuccino was quite good. Of course you are paying for a tourist experience so the prices are higher than what you would get at a local place (13000 Tsh for the burger; 4000 for a double cappuccino). They also have power outlets if you need to charge any devices.
A group of us stopped by for lunch prior to our business meeting. Everyone was very complimentary about the food they had (chicken and vegetable curries and club sandwiches) and coffee. They lived the ambiance of the place too.
During my 2 week stay in Moshi I dined here 3 times. Once for lunch, and twice for dinner, one with a very large team of 22! Excellent service. The atmosphere is very comfortable and upper scale. Food was excellent.
It is a very nice restaurant, they offer delicious food. I visited it when I went to do Kilimanjaro trekking. Highly recommended.
The food is good the drinks are excellent. Service is good and there are plenty of outlets and a good solid wireless signal. Great place to eat. And, a great place to sit and work if that is what you need to do. Also, a great place to meet people as everyone knows this spot.
